The metallic gold ink version is printed on Kitakata paper

The black version is printed on Okawara paper

The pink version is printed on Hosho paper and the foliage is hand embellished with watercolor

The print was inspired by a mutual love for California poppies, specifically a photo of a flowering plant bursting through the open space of a city walkway. The symbolism was too strong to ignore and from it came this print that serves as a reminder to always aspire to be vulnerable and bloom to your full potential. By embracing the entirety of our complex human emotions we may bloom, thus inspiring others to bloom as well.
